Welcome
Welcome Message

Children are a precious gift, and once that gift arrives, your life changes. Christian parents are given a huge responsibility to raise their children to know and love the Lord, and to walk in His ways. Often that task can be overwhelming, especially when it seems that everything in our culture today contradicts the values and beliefs we try to instill. At Hutt Valley Christian School, we’re here to help.
Our goal is to provide the best education available where God is the focus. We aren’t merely “topping up” a regular education with a few special assemblies, Bible studies or so-called Christian activities. That simply isn’t good enough.
If we want our children to learn a foreign language, will a few words spoken occasionally make them bilingual? Not a chance. They need to be immersed in the language and learn to speak it by hearing it spoken constantly. That’s what Hutt Valley Christian School is about. We strive to make HVCS a place where the language of our Creator is spoken in every aspect – from the curriculum and policies, to the activities and staffing.
We not only want every student at Hutt Valley Christian School to be immersed in a God-centred environment, we want their education to be one of excellence. Lowered expectations and dropping the standard seems par for the course in many schools, but not here. We aim to provide the individual attention and encouragement that is lacking elsewhere, so the highest academic potential is achieved and each student leaves here prepared to contribute to culture meaningfully and defend their faith intelligently for the rest of their lives, to the glory of God.
So, parents, you need to think long and hard on these important questions:
• What is my God-given responsibility in educating my child?
• What impact is my child’s school having on my child’s heart?
• What type of Christian education will most benefit my child – a simple addition to the curriculum or a total immersion in God’s language?
• Do I want a curriculum that will challenge my child to fulfill his or her academic potential or is the status quo enough?
I’d love to discuss the answers to these questions with you. Call the school, send an email, or drop in to see us. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your family’s future at Hutt Valley Christian School.
Grace and peace,
Mr. Chris Isaac
Principal
